I have no question about esri use their branded calcite color style in esri's own website, like arcgis.com. esri.com
But the evil is, esri inject calcite into every version of Arcgis javascript SDK release.
for example, in Feb 2025, v4.33 new release, component is bundle with calcite !

when 30k us gov agency use arcgis javascript SDK api to develop their own map apps, they suddenly found all of them actually are wearing the same pants. Same Arcgis feels and look pants.
Walmart is blue,
target is red,
home depot is orange,
lowes is blue,
best buy is blue,
ikea is yellow.
Every business want their unique color is common sense.
Now by injecting calcite, all 30k us gov agency are wearing same esri branded, same color pants.
Esri already is leader in gis market, no competitor, don't make sense.

At that time Esri will silently abandon calcite like they abandon dojo in 2025.
The aftermath for 30k us gov is lose previous invested billions $$$ tax money,
re-invest another billions $$$ to re-build everything.
