Step 1.

ArcPro locator is new, can be found on v10.91 and v11.x,

typical arcPro locator has following unique properties, if you see it, you know it is ArcPro locator

https://geo.austintexas.gov/arcgis/rest/services/Geocode/COA_Locator/GeocodeServer?f=json

Step 2.

to make it easy, I will tell you here.

https://transparentgov.net/json2tree/esri/server/folder2.html?org=https%3A%2F%2Fmaps.austintexas.gov%2Farcgis%2Frest%2Fservices&url=https%3A%2F%2Fmaps.austintexas.gov%2Farcgis%2Frest%2Fservices&arcgis_online_token=&select_folder=88&select_folder_text=COA_Locator+%3Csup%3EGeocodeServer%3C%2Fsup%3E&select_layer=-1&select_layer_text=COA_Locator+%3Csup%3EGeocodeServer%3C%2Fsup%3E

Step 3.

ArcMap locator is old back to 2021, you CAN NOT put it on enterprise portal v11.x,

typically have following properties, if you see it, you know it is old one

Step 4.

to make it easy, I will tell you here.

Step 5.

If you google ArcMap locator's unique identifier, you will find lots of government still using ArcMap locator.

for example:    google :   geocodeserver SpellingSensitivity

https://www.google.com/search?q=geocodeserver+SpellingSensitivity&rlz=1C1RXQR_enUS1149US1149&oq=geocodeserver+SpellingSensitivity&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOdIBCTc4OTlqMGoxNagCCLACAQ&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

Step 6.

page 2, have more

https://www.google.com/search?q=geocodeserver+Spelling+Sensitivity&sca_esv=6e9ba1d0fbdcd9a8&rlz=1C1RXQR_enUS1149US1149&sxsrf=AE3TifObd-bdYNtHQEOZ518Z2YHsyNRoTw:1758752667572&ei=m2_UaK_gItqnkPIPwJLr4Qw&start=10&sa=N&sstk=Af77f_ezQzkR2Zg09a63Y-C4Fk1abj01sQNyDmTM-Rqq9vGidJ1ViRhavvTf-HKNia70hVtjTa17-OcdwmhIUqXBNojrq12n7nzztw&ved=2ahUKEwjvmf6fuPKPAxXaE0QIHUDJOswQ8tMDegQICRAE&biw=1920&bih=945&dpr=1

Step 7.

ArcMap locator sample

https://transparentgov.net/json2tree/esri/server/folder2.html?org=https%3A%2F%2Fmaps.bouldercolorado.gov%2Farcgis%2Frest%2Fservices&url=https%3A%2F%2Fmaps.bouldercolorado.gov%2Farcgis%2Frest%2Fservices&arcgis_online_token=&select_folder=57&select_folder_text=SiteAddress+%3Csup%3EGeocodeServer%3C%2Fsup%3E&select_layer=&select_layer_text=COA_Locator+%3Csup%3EGeocodeServer%3C%2Fsup%3E

Step 8.

ArcMap locator, suggest function can search number, ( new ArcPro locator can not )

for example, search 2013, will popup all address start with 2013

https://transparentgov.net/json2tree/gateway/feature-layer/geocode-suggest.html?backgroundlayerurl=https%3A%2F%2Fmaps.bouldercolorado.gov%2Farcgis%2Frest%2Fservices%2Flocators%2FSiteAddress%2FGeocodeServer&_center_lat=40.01295534822077&_center_long=-105.27626230021741&_center_zoom=14&panto=0

Step 9.

if you see ArcMap locator, all 3 model 2632, 2630, 2631, support search number.  ( while ArcPro locator, only 2632 with work around support search number, the other without work around will not allow search number.)

https://transparentgov.net/json2tree/esri/server/folder2.html?org=https%3A%2F%2Fmaps.bouldercolorado.gov%2Farcgis%2Frest%2Fservices&url=https%3A%2F%2Fmaps.bouldercolorado.gov%2Farcgis%2Frest%2Fservices&arcgis_online_token=&select_folder=57&select_folder_text=SiteAddress+%3Csup%3EGeocodeServer%3C%2Fsup%3E&select_layer=-1&select_layer_text=SiteAddress+%3Csup%3EGeocodeServer%3C%2Fsup%3E

Step 10.

Same city, this one is ArcPro locator,  only 2632 with work around support search number, the other without work around will not allow search number

https://transparentgov.net/json2tree/esri/server/folder2.html?org=https%3A%2F%2Fmaps.bouldercolorado.gov%2Farcgis%2Frest%2Fservices&url=https%3A%2F%2Fmaps.bouldercolorado.gov%2Farcgis%2Frest%2Fservices&arcgis_online_token=&select_folder=53&select_folder_text=EGCssLocatorProTest+%3Csup%3EGeocodeServer%3C%2Fsup%3E&select_layer=-1&select_layer_text=EGCssLocatorProTest+%3Csup%3EGeocodeServer%3C%2Fsup%3E

Step 11.

ArcMap and ArcPro locator is build on different technology.

No all old functions in ArcMap has been carry over to ArcPro.

Search address number is one of them.   It used to be working in ArcMap locator ( see above sample )

However, it is missing in new ArcPro locator.

model 2632 with work around, make up the missing function to let ArcPro locator CAN search number now, like ArcMap did before.

I don't know when ESRI can implement this missing function, since search address number is essential in 911 dispatch
