How to renew SSL certificates on arcgis portal and server

Question

1. Import the certificate to Portal for ArcGIS and Update Portal to use the new certificate:
   1. Export the certificate from the IIS with a private key (.pfx).
   2. Go to Portaladmin: home > security> SSL Certificates:
      1. click import existing server certificate.
         1. Import the certificate and add an alias for it.
   3. Once the certificate has been imported go back to home > security> SSL Certificates: Click update: remove the current alias (portal) and add the alias that you have added to your certificate.
2. Restart the Portal for ArcGIS service.
3. Import the certificate to ArcGIS Server and Update Portal to use the new certificate:
   1. Go to ArcGIS Serve/admin: machines > machine name > SSL certificates:
   2. Click import existing server certificate.
      1. Import the certificate and add an alias for it.
   3. Go back to machines > machine name: Click edit: next to web server SSL certificate: remove the current alias (self signed) and add the alias that you have added to your certificate.
   4. Restart the ArcGIS Server service.
